The Sony Xperia Z1 is a highend Android smartphone produced by Sony. The Z1, at that stage known by the job code name "Honami", was revealed in a press conference in IFA 2013 on 4 September 2013. The device was released in the UK on 20 September 2013, and will enter more marketplaces in October 2013.
The Xperia Z1, is waterproof and dustproof, and has an IP 55 and 58. The important highlight of the phone is the 20.7 megapixel camera, paired with Sony's in-house G lens and its particular image processing algorithm called, BIONZ. The phone also comes with Sony's new camera graphical user interface and features an aluminium and glass unibody design.
The Sony Xperia Z1 is similar to its predecessor, the Xperia Z. The layout is "Omni-Balance", based on Sony, that is focused on creating stability and symmetry in all ways. On all sides, which are held together with a skeleton frame produced from aluminum xperia Z1 has discreetly rounded edges and smooth, reflective surfaces. Tempered glass is featured by the phone covered by shatterproof picture on rear and front. The aluminium power button is set in the proper side of the device. The place is supposed to earn one-hand operation easier.
The metallic appearance and placement of the power button is inspired by luxury watch crown design. The telephone is available in three colours; white, black and purple. It was noted that the Xperia Z1 was thicker (8.5mm) and heavier (169g) and have thicker screen bezels than the Xperia Z, although they were sharing the same screen size. Sony stated that the frame needed to become enlarged because of the larger than average camera sensor. The phone is certified waterproof and dust-resistant with an IP score of 55 and 58. Unlike the Xperia Z, the Xperia Z1 does not possess a watertight flaps covering its headphone jack, a move welcomed by several.
Reviewers also mentioned that Sony was able to squeeze battery in the Xperia Z1, a rarity for the size.
In addition, Xperia Z contains a battery stamina way which increases the cellphone's standby time up to 4 times. Sony also radically altered its camera user-interface, such as adding new features TimeShift.
